VFS online system irks

Jayachandra's Blog
For the past week and half I've been using (appears to me as if I'm QA testing) the VFS online system using which applicants should be applying for their visa appointment. The system's quality is pitiable. One can clearly see that it fails to scale to larger hit rates. Yesterday I'd witnessed the worst of its performance for every next screen I get a server error, or a unhandled sql exception error. I wish to see the developer who coded the system and the one who tested it and the fool who okay'd the system to go public. Some highlights of its nonsense performance...
(i) You fill the whole of DS-156 form for an applicant and click submit button, the server simply gives some sql exception error and you just even can't retry the request. Do you feel like giving the idea of use browser back and resubmit. Boy, you just can't do it. Because anytime during the application filling and date booking process you use the browser back, in the end the server would complain and not allow you to book a date. You have to start all over again.
(ii) You can see dates available (abt 10 of them) in May, but when you try to choose a reschedule date for a existing application and or new date for a fresh application, you simply wouldn't get those dates to pick from. All you get is a date in mid-June at the best. Honest, you still can see that those dates in May are available when you parallelly try using the 'check available dates link'.
